About The Cryers
Joe Orlando

THE CRYERS have been performing since 1991, throughout the U.S.A. & Canada, as well as their home base of NJ/NY. The band's sound is based deep within the roots of Rock 'n' Roll. It features a solid beat, captivating harmonies, and powerfully-written songs. Along with their original material, the band performs tunes from the vast archives of Rock 'n' Roll, breathing new life into timeless classics as well as contemporary songs. Sid Berstein, the man responsible for bringing the Beatles to America, called this band "Magical!"

The band's unique sound originates from the songwriting talents of bassist/vocalist Joe Orlando (www.joeorlando.com) and guitarist/vocalist Jeff Brown. They are supported by keyboardist/vocalist Belle Liao, whose training in classical piano adds another dynamic layer to the band's music. The Cryers are fortunate to have a rotation of talented drummers such as Steve Holley (who performed with Wings & Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Ian Hunter to name a few) and Owen Goldman.

In 2007, the band released their self-titled CD, "The Cryers," to rave reviews, and their sophomore effort, "Rock & Roll Holiday," to further acclaim in 2011. They have performed at venues such as the Sellersville Theater, Infinity Music Hall, Havana (New Hope, PA), Ram's Head, The Cutting Room, BB King Blues Club (NYC), Hard Rock Café in Memphis, City Winery (NYC), and many more. See the bottom of the Tour page to see all the venues the band have played at.

This year, the band looks to release their third album as well as continue performing throughout the country. They also enter their 12th year of performing with Denny Laine, who will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of the Moody Blues in April. See the Tour page for all upcoming performances.
